New Domain Names

While anyone can register a domain name, there are certain eligibility rules for some extensions. ( .com for example is an extension, .com.au is another).

This extension has quite specific eligibility rules. The registration application must be made in the name of the business/company that is applying for the domain name.  There are strict rules that govern naming rights for a .com.au domain name. Your domain name can be a direct representation of your business name, company name or a derision thereof.  If your pie shop is called Piefection for example, you may register piefection.com.au but wil not be able to register piesofperfection.com.au   You will require an ABN, ACN or Business Name number to register a .com.au domain name.

We can easily register the domain name you require. It pays to have a few alternatives as you cannot always get the domain name you would like. It's easy to check domain name availability. We use Server 101for our domain registrations. We are not a reseller of domain names, we just provide the service to our clients as it can be quite a daunting process.

The process takes about 24 hours usually, although sometimes .au extensions can take a little longer.

To register a new domain we need the following:

  Business Name and/or Company name
  ABN, ACN or business name registration number
  Physical and postal addresses
  Contact email address
  Phone and fax numbers
  Your prefered domain name and a list of any other possibilites.
