There is a well established process to getting your web site designed,
developed and published on the internet. By following these steps we
ensure that the process runs smoothly, and stays as stress free as
possible.

 Choosing
a domain name: |
| Selecting an appropriate domain name
is the first step in getting online. Your domain name choice is important, as
it can make it very easy, or difficult, for potential clients to find your
website. It should be a good reflection of your business, easy to
remember and easy to spell. If your business is Suzies Shoes, ideally
your website would be suziesshoes.com. We can register your domain name for you
and use Brisbane based company Server101 to register all our domain names. They
have clear, easy to understand control panels & domain name registration
usually takes less than 48 hrs. If you aren't ready for a website at this stage
you should still consider registering your domain name. There are thousands of
domain names registered every day and it is advisable to secure the domain you
would like as soon as possible.

your site requirements: |
| Whether you require an information
based site or a complex online quoting system, our interview process
establishes what you are hoping to acheive from your web site. Part of this
process is making you aware of options that are available to you and assisting

Select
a web hosting plan: |
| Web hosting is when you pay a
company to "host" your website on their server. In effect you are paying for
the server space your website requires and for the public access to that site.
As we develop primarily microsoft platformed sites, for hosting purposes we use
a company called Discountasp as they offer excellent service, competitive
prices and reliable servers. We will organise your hosting, set up your
account, configure any email addresses required, and supply you with an
e-manual with all you login details. Discountasp web hosting starts from as
little as $10 USD per month with the ability to add-on and remove extra
components like databases when required.

Develop
your site: |
|
Once we have the assessment interview complete, we will provide you with a list
of items that we require to build your site. We do not start your site
development until we have EVERYTHING that we require. Because we are allocating
large portions of time, it is neither cost effective or practical to start on a
project unless we have all the information we need. Of course, revisions and
additions can and do happen and we will contact you with any further info or
documentation we may need, but as mentioned above we do not start your site
development until we have everything from you that we require. Text
for pages can be supplied via email or on CD, & images & logos can be
supplied on CD as these files are normally quite large making emailing
them impractical.

Test
and upload your site: |
| Once your site is developed, we
exhaustivley test it across different browsers to ensure that everything
is functional and secure. Once we have done this we upload your site to its
webhost and re-test the site now that it is in situ. Once this is done, we will
contact you to arrange final approval and payment and then redirect your domain
name to point to your hosting location. Then you're open for business. |

Release
documentation and training if required: |
|
Any interactive site we build comes complete with a "back end" that enables you
to make changes to your site yourself. We don't agree with the practice of
charging our clients exhorbitant web developer fees to make small changes to
your site. If your site is an online store for example, these changes
might include updateing prices, managing your inventory, creating specials,
discontinuing lines and changing images. Obviously, there are some things you
can't do yourself, and we are more than happy to make changes you require for a
minimal fee.
Once your site is uploaded and available, we will supply you with e-manuals that
will cover the full range of the maintenance aspect of your site and provide
you with the level of training that was agreed upon in our initial
quote.
